Moroccan Hemp Granola
YIELD: 5 cups
TIME: 30 minutes
Ingredients
3 cups oats
1/2 cup black sesame seeds
1 cup blanched almonds flakes
3/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup hemp seeds
1/2 tsp pink Himalayan salt
1/3 cup culinary Argan oil
1/4 brown sugar
1/2 cup buckwheat honey
1 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1:
Preheat oven at 325°F. Combine oatmeal, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, almonds and hemp seeds in a large bowl.
Step 3:
In a small sauce pan heat honey, Argan oil, brown sugar and salt. Cook for about 5 minutes until sugar has melted. Add vanilla.
Step 4:
Add hot honey mixture to dry ingredients. Combine everything and spread mixture on a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silpat silicone mat. Bake for 10 minutes.
Mix granola after 10 minutes of baking. Bake for another 10 minutes.
Step 5:
Stir granola and bake for another 10 minutes or until golden brown. The mixture will still look wet when out of the oven but once the granola cools down for an hour it will develop its crunchy texture. Afterwards transfer granola in an airtight container.
